Robert Dietz is the Vice President of Supply Chain at Charter Steel, a leading American supplier of carbon and alloy steel bar, rod and wire products, and largest steel coil processor in North America. He is responsible for directing Charter Steel’s end-to-end Supply Chain across 6 manufacturing plants in OH and WI.

Robert is a visionary leader who is focused on improving integration, automation and optimization across the entire supply chain.  Since 2010, Charter Steel has undergone significant business process re-engineering within the demand  planning, supply planning, procurement and logistics teams such that Charter Steel is now an industry leader in both on time delivery and low inventory. Procurement and Logistics cost reductions have exceeded $25M over the past 3 years. The improved on time delivery and overall supply chain responsiveness has helped enable record shipments in 4 of the last 6 years.

Robert holds a Masters of Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy.
